A properly working stained glass soldering iron tip should melt solder instantly. Wiping a hot iron tip on an iron sponge is a great idea to reduce and slow the build-up of contaminants found in solder and flux. Eventually, just wiping won’t be enough. This product is “The Best Choice” to Clean, & Restore a soldering tip so you can get back to uninterrupted soldering.

How It Works:
Heat soldering iron tip
Rub heated tip into the tip tinner.
Rub all faces and edges of the tip.
Rub the tip hard to speed up the process
You’ll be done when all tip edges are a bright silvery new looking

Lead free

Kwik-Clean flux remover doesn’t need mixing or diluting. Just spray on Kwik-Clean when you’re done soldering, then use paper towel to clean project thoroughly.

To use with patina: Use a paper towel to apply the patina. Mixing the Kwik-Clean with Patina gives added cleaning of the flux and a finer tone on the patina. After Patina is applied, clean again with Kwik-Clean. Polish as you normally would.

Laissez les refroidir et vos pèces sont prêtes et très solide.

– During Application Use safety glasses and gloves. Proper and complete preparation of metal surfaces is key to a superior result.
– Remove all oxidization with bronze wool (BRO 02). Clean off all debris.
– Wipe surface with white vinegar (this allows for a more uniform/dark color)
– Wipe down with water and dry
– To apply chemical use cloth or paper towel as applicator tool. Metal contaminates patinas. Form applicator into small thick pad
approximately 2 x 2 inches.
– Pour patina onto pad and wipe metal with long smooth strokes. Slowly wipe thin layer of chemical then let dry. Repeat thin layers of
chemical letting dry between applications.
– Continue to reapply until level of blackness is achieved.
– Let chemical air dry hard for 24 hours.
– Dries to a Matte finish (dull and flat without a shine).
– Optional. Apply Clarity Finishing Compound to achieve a Glossy, shiny finish.
